Bishop Konstant Catholic Academy Trust (BKCAT) is delighted to announce its partnership with Inspiring Governance.
BKCAT is the fourth multi-academy trust in the country to sign the School Governor Champion Charter and pledge its support to champion the role of school governor and support colleagues to become governors in local schools.
Foundation Governors are pivotal to the Academy Council constitution of our Catholic Academies, and are appointed by the Bishop. Being a Foundation Governor is a fabulous way to;
Provide charitable contributions in your Parish community
- Utilise your skills and expertise to provide strategic direction to schools
- Actively have a part in the development of children’s education in your area
- Receive opportunities for CPD and invites to training events

There are current opportunities for practising Catholics to become Foundation Governors within our Academies. BKCAT is a large Trust, which comprises of 15 Academies dispersed throughout 4 Local Authorities and 5 Parishes.
BKCAT prides itself on maintaining a supportive culture for pupils, staff, and Governors and Trustees alike, and provides a range resources and frequent training opportunities for Governors and Trustees to ensure that they have the tools to fulfil their objectives as governors.
