Could you go Back to School as a volunteer governor this year?

Whether it was a sunny holiday or rainy staycation, the summer break is officially over and the time has come for children and young people to head back to school for a new academic year, refreshed and ready – hopefully! – for a new year of learning.

We have been working hard over the summer holiday and are delighted to have surpassed 7,500 successful appointments of brilliant volunteers into school governor roles across England. Could you help us reach the magic figure of 10,000 appointments?

Have you ever considered volunteering as a governor? Would you like to hear from a current school governor to hear what it’s really like? Join us for an online session on Wednesday 27th September, 12.15-13.00 to hear current volunteers discuss their own positive experiences of being school governors themselves, what they are able to offer their school and what they have gained from their experiences, as well as learn more about what’s involved in the role.

Perhaps 2023 is the year that you go Back to School to make a difference to children and young people in your community – register for our information session by clicking the link below to find out more about the role and how to sign up to get involved. Looking forward to seeing you there!
