In 2019, Inspiring Governance launched the #ontheroad campaign inspired by our Regional Managers’ efforts to push out our governance message in every region of the country. From Dorset to London to Birmingham to Newcastle Upon Tyne, we are delighted to say that we are back on the virtual road.
Throughout the campaign, we will be holding events remotely talking to volunteers, schools, and employers alike as we remain steadfast in our desire to match skilled volunteers with school governing boards and help give young people the best start in life.
In recent weeks, we have attended events such as Dorset’s Race Equality Council, spoken with NHS Nursing Associates as part of Health Education England’s National Ambassadors programme and have met virtually with local government service teams in Stoke-On-Trent.
Whilst 2020 has been a challenging year for schools, our team has continued to work hard to spread the message about school governance and with the start of the new academic year, it is a perfect opportunity for volunteers to help set the strategic direction for the coming 12 months.
And there is more to come from Inspiring Governance’s Virtual On The Road campaign. Throughout October and November we will be:
Presenting to Department for Education staff networks
Attending the National Governance Association SE/SW regional conference
Presenting to HMRC regional staff networks
Speaking to CORE Educational Trust in Birmingham
Discussing CSR strategy with SAGE foundation
Presenting to Salisbury Plain’s Allied Services
Schools throughout England need governors from all walks of life; individuals who can bring a mix of professional skills and life experiences to the table. Click here to find out more.
